The first time they met, Audrey had only recently transmigrated to the world of magic. Percy thought her pronunciation was a bit off and corrected her like some old-fashioned scholar. That made Audrey work even harder, and she took up a study of Oxford accents and opera.
The second time they met, Audrey was buying school supplies in Diagon Alley when she came across Percy arguing with a shopkeeper. Audrey showed off her mental arithmetic skills, honed by nine years of compulsory education, leaving Percy determined to escape poverty and make a fortune.
Later, many people hated and berated Percy. Audrey did too, but still chose to stay by his side.
Percy: "You're an irredeemable Ravenclaw, and I'm a stuffy, serious Gryffindor. We're a perfect match."
Audrey: "I'm a progression, and you're a transition. How are we a match?"
Percy: "We're both brilliant, and I love you."
Percy Weasley x Audrey Abbott (Audrey Abbott, a semi-original heroine)
Gryffindor x Ravenclaw
A friendly reminder:
This is a companion story to [Harry Potter] Finding a Boyfriend Through Divination. You can still enjoy this story without reading that one.
I originally wanted to write Audrey and Percy's story from an omniscient perspective, but as I worked through the plot, I realized I was more inclined to write about Audrey's growth.
The characters' values don't represent the author's. My writing is immature, and the pacing is slow. If it's not to your taste, please be gentle.
Theme: Grow together and accept one another.
