Jing Ruo had just been appointed head of the family when she discovered that her clan was saddled with a huge amount of debt.
Frantic, she rummaged through every cupboard looking for their savings, only to stumble upon a glass cup. She wiped away the dust, and out floated a fierce-looking old man with a white beard, who claimed his name was Aladdin.
He said, "Only I can save your family."
He also said, "Starting today, you may choose one person and kiss them once. The person you kiss has however much money in assets, and your family will gain the same amount."

She stayed up all night with a lamp, working away at her abacus until she finally figured out the most suitable candidate: her family's sworn enemy, the imperial merchant clan, the Huan family.
Either kiss the old family head.
Or kiss the young family head, the incredibly handsome Huan Yanzhi.
Who to choose? Did she even need to think about it?
Only at the very end did Jing Ruo remember that the old man had also said, "Every gain comes with a loss. If you accept my gift, you must agree to give me one of your possessions..."
[Bonus Scene]
Huan Yanzhi looked at the beauty whose face was just an inch from his. After a moment of silence, he suddenly sneered. "Miss Jing, what are you trying to do?"
"Don't talk. Kiss me, quick." Jing Ruo waved her hand and puckered her lips.
The stern-faced young master gazed at that lovely face that had him utterly smitten. His Adam's apple bobbed, but he turned and strode away.
Jing Ruo frowned. "Where are you going?"
Huan Yanzhi left her with only his retreating figure. He walked faster and faster, calling out, "I never said I was going to marry you!"
Jing Ruo stood frozen, utterly confused. "I only wanted a kiss?"
Who asked you to take responsibility? What a weirdo...
A bankrupt young lady who acts like a flirt just to pay off her debts and a young family head who pretends to be aloof and proper but never succeeds
