The faint sunlight fell like an illusion over the little alley. A disheartened girl walked in. At the end of the alley, a boy sat on a stool, dressed in a white shirt and black trousers. An easel stood before him, paint pots by his feet. The sunlight seemed to love him. It fell across his face and made his features look lovely. The girl froze.
He looked familiar and strange at the same time, but she kept walking until she emerged from the alley.
They met in the second year of middle school, and she never forgot him.
She worked hard to get into Seventh Middle School, the school he wanted to attend. Then a chance encounter at a convenience store set their story in motion.
