The second daughter of the Qin family, Qin Man, was beautiful, had a great figure, and was highly educated. She was a bona fide socialite, seemingly flawless in every way.
If there was one flaw to pick, it was her marriage.
Everyone in their circle knew Qin Man and Zhou Yanmin had married out of necessity, through a family-arranged union, and had no feelings for each other. But only Qin Man knew she had married Zhou Yanmin willingly, after painstaking effort.
She knew Zhou Yanmin had someone else in his heart, his unattainable first love, but she didn't care. A year later, Zhou Yanmin suddenly asked for a divorce. She agreed with a bitter smile.
Unexpectedly, on the day of their divorce, Zhou Yanmin got into a car accident and lost his memory.
-
After losing his memory, Zhou Yanmin mistook Qin Man for his first love. He took care of her in every way and began pursuing her passionately.
Qin Man was swept up in Zhou Yanmin's tenderness, even as she worried that once his memories returned, they would never be able to go back to how things were.
Then one day, she happened to overhear a phone call between Zhou Yanmin and his friend.
Zhou Yanmin: "In that accident, I only got a little scrape. You insisted I pretend to have amnesia. How are we supposed to keep this story straight now?"
Friend: "Didn't you say Qin Man was your first love, and that you didn't want to stay in a marriage that was all in name only? You wanted to divorce her and then pursue her again, so she'd fall in love with you. Now you've skipped the divorce and still got what you wanted. Isn't that great?"
Zhou Yanmin: "If I tell her now that my memory has come back, do you think Manman will believe me?"
Friend: "You could get into another accident and pretend that's what brought your memory back."
Zhou Yanmin cursed under his breath and angrily hung up. When he turned around, he saw Qin Man standing behind him, expressionless.
Zhou Yanmin: "Honey, I can explain..."

Please add my next novel, "Moved by Love," to your collection!
The third daughter of the Shen family, Shen Wan, was a captivating beauty who could make anyone's heart itch with just one glance. Unfortunately, she had little luck in life. Her parents had died young, and she had no say in the Shen family.
So when the Shen and Liang families went into business together and needed a marriage alliance, she was the first one offered up.
Who in the capital didn't know that Young Master Liang spent most of his time out and about, flirting wherever he went? He was a notorious playboy.
Many young masters from prominent families shook their heads in sympathy for Shen Wan when they heard about the marriage.
After the wedding, Liang Rui kept up his old ways. He could even tease Shen Wan with a flippant air right to her face: "It's a business marriage. Whoever falls in love first loses. Right, honey?"
The last word was teasing and suggestive.
-
Liang Rui had thought he was simply following his family's wishes and marrying a pretty ornament. There was no need to invest any feelings.
Until he realized that he cared more and more about Shen Wan's preferences and what she thought of him, and that he got jealous when other men showed her interest.
Finally, at a reception, he lost control when he saw another man put his hand on Shen Wan's shoulder.
Liang Rui looked at Shen Wan, his emotions restrained but full of resentment. "Shen Wan, you're already married to me. Don't get so close to other men."
Shen Wan looked at Liang Rui with a smile, as if she'd just heard a joke.
She stepped closer and raised a hand to straighten his collar in an intimate gesture, but her words were cold: "Liang Rui, weren't you the one who said that in a business marriage, whoever falls in love first loses?"
Premise: Communication is important.
