Remember the first time he saw her? He didn't hold back.
In a lazy, indifferent drawl, he said, "With skills like yours, you still want to compete in the All-Star season? You could grab anyone off the street and they'd play better than you."
She lowered her head in embarrassment, took off her headset with her left hand, and left the stage.
She paid a hefty penalty for breaking her contract.
Later, after endless coaxing, he finally got her to join a new season. Just as she was having the time of her life playing, he picked up a microphone from the guest seats. Still sounding lazy, but with a little more affection, he said, "Yingying, how about we stop playing and go home?"
He'd wanted to help her make up for her regrets, but he didn't want his precious girl to wear herself out.
A gorgeous idol, talented in every way and rich to boot,
ended up in his arms, the apple of his eye.
