Jiang Yuan is a hot-tempered, outspoken puppy of a guy. In his second year of high school, he found himself a special best buddy, Gu Yichen. At first, they were sworn rivals who bickered over everything. But at some point, they started spending every moment together, and didn't deny the rumors that came swirling their way. Jiang Yuan never thought there was anything unusual about it.

A sugary-sweet school romance, with sweetness all the way through. There's a little angst for the top, but it's only a touch of bittersweetness. The overall tone is still overwhelmingly sweet. The bottom is the POV character, and it's a 1v1 romance, as usual. A cool, secretly flirtatious, top student, deeply devoted top x a puppy-like, hot-tempered, top student, adorably clueless bottom. The top spoils the bottom without limits. Mutual pining, with an older top. (A bottom stan's joy.)
