Handsome Team Captain × Clumsy Little Heiress
-
Chu Yu secretly sneaks back from overseas to support the Me team in a match, only to get caught and unceremoniously dumped onto the CY team, sponsored by her family, to work as an assistant.
Everyone else is easy enough to deal with. The only exception is Jiang Xing, who suddenly joined CY as captain a year ago.
He has incredible skills and is a hot name in the esports scene. To everyone else, he gives off the distant aura of a heaven-blessed genius, aloof as a flower on a high peak.
But with Chu Yu, he acts like a spoiled young master, has a temper that’s hard to soothe, and annoys her so much her teeth itch.
Chu Yu vents to a friend, but the conversation keeps getting sidetracked, with her friend pressing her to describe what Jiang Xing looks like.
“He has a face that begs to be punched.”
“He’s not as handsome as my Huai Shen.”
The next day, a notification pops up on her phone: “Rising Esports Star Jiang Xing Shows His Face in a Livestream!”
Chu Yu’s eyes light up. She hurries downstairs to watch the drama unfold with the other team members.
Jiang Xing is sitting in an esports chair. He turns to look at her.
“Come here,” he calls to Chu Yu.
Chu Yu walks over to his side, making sure she’s out of the camera’s view.
“What is it?”
Jiang Xing doesn’t answer. He reaches out and pulls her into his arms, then shields her face with his own, keeping it off camera.
Everyone freezes. With an air of complete nonchalance, Shen Xing says to the camera, “This is my girlfriend.”
Everyone: “!!!”
Netizens: “???”
Chu Yu wants to object, but Jiang Xing lowers his head.
On camera, it looks like he’s kissing her cheek, but Chu Yu can hear the unmistakable smugness in his voice.
“I don’t want to make a living off my face, but I also don’t want people calling me punchable. So you can just make do with me.”
