I Transmigrated into an Old-School Novel and Bankrupted the Scumbag Gong

"Just agree to take the fall for Xiao Ruo, and I'll marry you the moment you get out of prison!"

The first thing Jiang Yan Hui heard when he opened his eyes after dying in an attack was this outrageous statement.

At first, he thought his assistant was playing another one of those pointless audiobooks. Then he realized he'd become a character in the book.

And just his luck, before the incident, Jiang Yan Hui had been forced to listen to the entire novel.

The original story could be summed up in one sentence: he loved him, he loved him, and then he didn't love him. A jaw-droppingly melodramatic mess.

It also contained all sorts of morally bankrupt plot points, including stand-ins, cheating, keeping a lover, taking the blame, and coercion.

This scene was right at the beginning of the story, when the scumbag asked the original owner to take the fall. It was also where the whole tragedy began.

Thinking of how the original owner agreed out of love, only to be abused in prison and left permanently disabled, then abused in body and mind by the scumbag after getting out...

Jiang Yan Hui flew into a rage. He grabbed the coffee on the table and flung it at him.

"It's 2035, and you're still making people take the fall for you? Go read the criminal code, you legally illiterate fool!"

But Jiang Yan Hui hadn't expected that throwing coffee at someone would feel great in the moment, only to leave him out in the cold.

The original owner's family was so afraid that his actions would offend the scumbag and bring trouble down on them that they shut him out!

Looking at the tightly shut gates of the Jiang family home and the last hundred yuan in his pocket, Jiang Yan Hui turned around and stopped the wheelchair of the gloomy, reclusive antagonist who had always been at odds with the scumbag.

"Hey, want evidence of the scumbag breaking the law?"
