Bungo Stray Dogs: Writing Novels in Yokohama

[After seeing quite a few authors write stories within their stories, I wanted to give it a try too. My writing isn't very good, so please bear with me.]

At some point, a writer appeared in Yokohama. Her stories were strange, boundlessly imaginative, and beautiful. The gorgeous worlds she described made people increasingly dissatisfied with reality.

Qianyue You came from a world of magic and was an adventurer. At long last, she'd decided to retire, find a little forest, build a cabin, and settle down. But a little black cat took advantage of her and brought her to another world: Yokohama.

Another world was still another world. For someone like Qianyue You, who was used to traveling everywhere, it wasn't hard to adjust to a new world and find ways to enjoy herself.

Before long, Qianyue You was immersed in this cultural environment, completely different from the magical world. Retiring in another world wasn't a problem, after all.

But after living there for a while, she and the little black cat had no money at all, apart from the house the cat had given her. This seasoned traveler, used to finding food wherever she went, had never imagined she might actually be unable to find anything to eat.

With no other choice, she began organizing her travel experiences into books, just as she'd planned to do after retiring, and earned money from the royalties.
