In her previous life, Su Mingyue was consumed by love. Her fiance, whom she had loved with all her heart and been willing to die for, destroyed her family.
Luckily, she was reborn.
Her former fiance was still the elegant Crown Prince, wearing an expression of devotion as he told her, "My heart belongs only to Mingyue."
Su Mingyue smiled. "All right."
Then she summoned everyone at the banquet to witness his sordid affair with her cousin.
On the night she finally avenged herself, Su Mingyue held the mute girl she had taken in and whispered in her ear, "Men are poison. You mustn't get involved with them. Having you is all I need."
The little mute trembled as she took her hand. "Really?"
Su Mingyue stroked the little mute's face, beautiful as a celestial being, and teased, "If you stay by my side, I'll look after you for the rest of your life."
Later, the beautiful little mute transformed into the powerful Seventh Prince. A handsome, refined man blocked her path, looking innocent and pitiful. "Didn't you say you'd look after me for the rest of your life?"
Su Mingyue: ...Sorry to bother you.
The most humiliating time in Li Yi'an's life was at the Su residence. Forced to wear women's clothes and pretend to be mute, he was kept there as a maid.
The happiest time in Li Yi'an's life was also at the Su residence. The girl, bright as the moon, shielded him, drew him into her arms, and held him in the palm of her hand. "As long as I'm here, no one can bully you!"
Later, she said she would look after him for the rest of his life. He thought that perhaps he could spend the rest of his life cherishing her, too.
Mingyue, you were the one who said you wanted me for the rest of your life. Don't blame me for refusing to let go...
