Yu Yu is an ordinary corporate drone. The unusual thing about her is that she can control her dreams. By day, she's a humble wage slave. At night, once she enters her dreams, she's the queen.
Yu Yu does whatever she wants in her dreams. Lately, she's been obsessed with a novel, and every day she sneaks into her dreams to raise a villain, take in flower spirits, and tame beautiful merfolk. She couldn't be happier.
One day, she received a phone call. The caller said he was an investigator with the National Bureau of Anomalous Biology. He told Yu Yu that her mental energy had recently shown abnormal fluctuations, and their investigation had found they were connected to her dreams.
The investigator gently asked Yu Yu if anything strange had happened to her recently.
Strange things? Yu Yu couldn't help thinking of the handsome young stranger who hugged her outside the office last month, looking wronged as he asked why she'd abandoned him. Then there was the potted plant she'd picked up on a whim, which grew with alarming vigor, its dazzling beauty almost like a fake flower; the gorgeous sea fish in her aquarium that always stared fixedly at her; and the hot meals waiting on her table every day after work.
Yu Yu swallowed and said in a trembling voice, "I, I feel like everything in my life is off. Could you please come over and take a look?"
The investigator paused, then repeated her words. "You'd like me to come over..."
The investigator confirmed once more, "Ma'am, are you inviting me to your home to investigate?"
Yu Yu nearly dropped to her knees and kowtowed to him. "Yes. Please. I'm begging you."
A knock sounded at her door. Yu Yu happily put down her weapon and opened it to welcome her reinforcements.
The handsome young man at the door was wearing a uniform, neat and clean, his posture straight as a pine. He no longer looked weak and helpless, nothing like his previous, pathetic self. He stepped into Yu Yu's home, his gaze fixed on her. The corner of his mouth lifted as he said in a low voice, "Sister, you were the one who invited me in."
