Alessio could hardly be called knowledgeable about music. She could play, but her two closest friends were on another level entirely: one a prodigy, the other a genius. Often unable to follow their conversations, Alessio felt terribly out of place. Then one day, each of her friends came to her separately and confessed their love for someone.
And so, somehow, she became the wingwoman for both of them.
Honestly! Just watching these two musical geniuses talk was hard enough. Why did they have to come to her now that they’d both gone lovesick?
Mozart: I played the violin beneath his window all night! And he complained about the noise and chased me away?
Alessio: Anyone would do that. Anton was already being nice. If it were me, I’d have thrown a bottle out the window and smashed your stupid head.
Salieri: Amadeus was sawing wood outside my door last night. Do you think something’s been bothering him lately? Has he told you anything?
Alessio: If he didn’t tell you, why would he tell me? Also, you really let him stand outside your door all night? How did the neighbors not call the police and have him hauled off?
Salieri: Amadeus may be reckless, but he wouldn’t do anything like that.
Alessio: No, I think if you weren’t watching him, I wouldn’t be surprised if he went off to wrestle the family dog.
Life is short, and we have no other choice. If the end is inevitable, then let us live to the fullest.
Even if we cannot escape our final parting, let our laughter be carved upon our tombstone, proof that we fooled death and time.
Theme: I no longer fear parting, because love is eternal.
