Yun Ye had spent over a decade cruising through life without a care, until one day he woke up in the cultivation world and learned that he was actually the son of the former leader of the cultivation world's greatest immortal sect, with the weighty mission of saving the world on his shoulders.
And so Yun Ye began jumping back and forth between two worlds: studying like crazy on Earth by day, and devoting himself tirelessly to the cultivation world by night.
The sect's Spirit-Gathering Formation was inefficient, so Yun Ye improved it: Ever heard of the cultivation efficiency formula ΔQ=λN·C?
Disciples were dying or getting injured while undergoing tribulation, so Yun Ye built a cultivation-world Faraday cage: electromagnetic shielding for painless advancement.
The ancient teleportation array had been lost, so Yun Ye pulled out a book on quantum mechanics: Could quantum entanglement work?
Behind me stand Faraday, Maxwell, Newton, and Einstein!

Bonus Scene
The whole class was attending an online lesson over video. The teacher was mid-lecture when his eyes landed on Yun Ye's video window. “Yun Ye, where are you? Do I see people flying in the sky behind you?”
Yun Ye, attending class online from the cultivation world, didn't so much as change his expression. He silently shifted the camera. “Sorry, teacher. My house is near a movie studio. They're filming with people on wires.”
The Immortal Venerable seated nearby looked up. Before long, the disciples of the Yuntai Immortal Sect received the Venerable's order:
No flying today.
