Xiao Mao corrected his goal and resolved to work hard to become a researcher like Professor Oak, while Xiao Zhi continued charging ahead toward becoming a training master. The two spent more time apart than together, each seeing many sights and meeting many people along the way.

Xiao Zhi met Xiao Hao, who was just as determined as he was but more arrogant. For a time, the two people who were far too alike explored together and trained as Trainers, going through many experiences before finally deciding to part ways and pursue their goals separately.
