The Goofy Top Keeps Thinking He Cheated on Me

[Putting this on hold for now]

[The top did not cheat]

Jiang Hang and Shen Zui have been married for three years. They treat each other with respect, but have never truly been in love.

One night, Jiang Hang had an incredibly vivid nightmare. He dreamed that he had stopped at nothing to force Shen Zui to marry him, then failed to cherish him and even cheated on him.

After waking, Jiang Hang's memories were jumbled. He became convinced that he had wronged Shen Zui and ruined his life.

To make amends, Jiang Hang began desperately trying to make it up to Shen Zui.

-- Shen Zui wanted a car to get around, so Jiang Hang reserved an entire underground garage for him and let him choose any car he liked.

-- Shen Zui wanted to return to teaching, so Jiang Hang went to great lengths to help him get a position at one of the country's top universities.

-- Shen Zui was invited to a private dance by a young student. Jiang Hang... Jiang Hang declared that this one thing was absolutely out of the question.

Shen Zui knew that he and Jiang Hang had married only to fulfill the last wishes of the older generation.

So even though he had secretly loved Jiang Hang since their school days, he had never dared hope that Jiang Hang would fall in love with him.

Then, one day, Jiang Hang suddenly seemed like a different person, lavishing him with every possible kindness--

On Shen Zui's birthday, Jiang Hang, who had never cooked before, prepared a table full of delicious candlelit dishes. Supposedly, he had spent a month learning to cook for the occasion.

When Shen Zui stayed up late studying so he could return to teaching, Jiang Hang quietly sat beside him, keeping him company as he worked through cup after cup of coffee to stay awake.

The first time Shen Zui came home late, he had drunk quite a bit. Jiang Hang helped him undress and bathe, crying with regret as he said, “I'm sorry. It was all my fault. Now I finally understand how much you suffered back then. I promise this will never happen again...”

Shen Zui: “...?”
