[Western Crossover] The Riddler Runs a Business in Gotham

Edward, Gotham City's famous riddle enthusiast and now the proprietor of Gotham's hottest escape room, believes he's done plenty to help the city grow and prosper. But for some reason, strange people have recently started showing up around him, muttering things like, "Riddler, get out of Gotham!" Looking closely at their faces, Edward is astonished. They look just like his angel investor and several famous superheroes. Only family could look so much alike. Edward wonders if this is his investor's way of dropping a hint. Perhaps they are saying the opposite of what they mean, and really want his escape room to expand beyond Gotham and earn the investor more money. But Edward refuses to compromise on the quality of his escape room's puzzles just because of an unreasonable request from his investor. Yet when he goes to confront them, they pretend nothing has happened. Edward brings out his powerful research team to show his investor how much effort he puts into the escape room's quality. He has the real-life novel's monster-hunting brothers helping him come up with escape room themes. He also has Gotham High's playboy-in-training helping with aesthetics, and the daughter of the Gotham Police Commissioner offering legal advice. Geniuses from Midtown High and Central City High help test the difficulty of the puzzles. More importantly, every riddle in the escape room is designed by Edward himself. He can make them as hard or easy as he wants, reaching heights no ordinary escape room could match. Gotham's richest man is deeply moved and immediately transfers a huge sum to Edward's account. If it's for improving the escape room, then it doesn't count as spending money. Edward returns to his base, satisfied. After he leaves, the richest man in Gotham holds down the identical face of the person who came from a parallel universe and boasts, "See? Our city will become a better place with the Riddler around." * This is not the Riddler from the TV series. His characterization is closer to the comics and animated series. The Riddler is absolutely not leaving Gotham. Written for love. Expect original characterizations and OOC moments, so don't take it too seriously. * [Coming Soon] A no-CP competitive mahjong novel: The Real Young Master Just Wants to Be World Champion.
