Coming soon: The Crown Prince's Live-in Son-in-Law to Widow Taoyao. See my author page.
Story blurb:
Seven years ago, General Hua Yu'an was framed for plotting rebellion through witchcraft. Overnight, his entire family was secretly executed, and only the youngest Hua daughter escaped.
Seven years later, witchcraft resurfaced during the Longevity Festival. The emperor fell into a coma, and the court was thrown into turmoil.
This time, the newly appointed Chief Eunuch of the Directorate of Ceremonial, Hua Jinhuan, pointed all the evidence at Li Xu, Prince Yi'an, who commanded the army and was known as the Wolf King of the Northwest.
Li Xu's response: "Chief Eunuch Hua is quite something!"
A mad, beautiful woman posing as an eunuch x a possessive, scheming, genuinely powerful man
The Crown Prince's Live-in Son-in-Law to Widow Taoyao: Crown Prince Xie Heng was ambushed during his tour of the south and rescued by a beautiful young widow.
The young widow thought Xie Heng couldn't hear her, so whenever they were alone, she liked to whisper to him.
Xie Heng thought the widow was rather foolish, until her in-laws threatened to throw him out unless he stayed and became their live-in son-in-law.
Unable to move about easily, Xie Heng swallowed his pride and agreed.
On their wedding night, the young widow blushed and stammered out a promise: "H-Husband, don't worry. I-I'll make sure you have a good life from now on!"
Xie Heng turned away and snorted. "Peasants!"
*
Half a year later, his guards came looking for him. His injuries healed, Xie Heng was ready to leave.
The young widow stood in the newly built courtyard, her eyes red. "If you stay, I'll earn more money and take care of you. Would that be all right?"
Xie Heng left without looking back.
After returning to the palace, Xie Heng often dreamed in the middle of the night of those tearful eyes and her promise to take care of him.
Looking at the vast Eastern Palace, he thought that perhaps having one more young widow wouldn't be so bad.
But when he returned, the young widow was gone. Behind the new house stood a fresh grave, lonely beneath a single peach blossom planted on the mound.
The villagers of Taoyuan Village discovered that the divine live-in son-in-law who had vanished from Taoyao's home had returned, but he had gone mad.
He laughed and cried in front of the tomb containing Taoyao's clothes, built before she left. Spitting blood, he said viciously, "Good riddance! I won't pine for you anymore!"
A little scene:
The long-lost legitimate daughter of Chancellor Xu was found, and the chancellor held a banquet.
At the banquet, Crown Prince Xie Heng, who had been missing for almost half a year, stared gloomily at Miss Xu, dressed in mourning white and rumored to have lost her husband again. He crushed his wine cup in his hand.
After the banquet, Taoyao and the elegant top graduate hit it off and privately arranged to marry.
She personally saw the top graduate out of the residence, blushing shyly. "Once we're married, I'll make sure you have a good life!"
The top graduate had barely left when someone dragged Taoyao into the rock garden. Before she could cry out, she found herself facing a pair of icy eyes.
He gritted his teeth. "How many times have you said that?"
Reader's note:
1. The heroine was a young widow who had been betrothed before her husband's death. One true pairing.
Theme: Learn to face life's hardships with determination.
I really want to say that for the first time, most adult women don't bleed.
2023.1.25
After reading it, the blank space is really good, and the plots are relatively consistent, but I really want to watch the extras, want to know the story of the supporting cast, and still hope that the protagonists will have a fruitful love.
Excited! Is it time to write the story? I'm going to take a shower, do some skin care, put on hand cream, prepare water and oranges, and then go to bed to watch
Please give me a side story about the little emperor and Xie Aman
It looks so good. I originally read the comments and guessed that the heroine might give up her career in the end, which is a bit regretful, but the more I look back, the more I feel sorry for her. She is so miserable. I just want her to live a happy life, let go of her obsessions, and be truly happy. This ending is very good. Although the little queen appears rarely, I felt sorry for her from the beginning. I hope she can let go of the past, live a free life, love a worthy person, and then live a safe and smooth life.
I stayed up late and finished reading it. I laughed and cried. It was really well written! ! !
Finished spreading flowers! I felt the ending was a little rushed, mainly because the memory loss part felt a bit abrupt. I'm looking forward to my wife's next book.
A happy ending! Chunhe was so heart-wrenching. Fortunately, he was redeemed in the end and still had relatives alive. But he was too soft-hearted when it came to the white-eyed wolf "Hua Yan" and he always only said harsh words to her...
This book is very good, why are there so few reviews?
This ending is like a rocket being launched. I'm a little disappointed.
