Seeking Stars at the Crossroads

A young astrologer with an aloof disposition sets off on a journey far from home to study. In her dreams, she sees four tigers in the west devouring an elephant, then the heroes vying for supremacy; two sparrows in the south fighting, one folding its wings in defeat; the Black Tortoise in the north splitting apart, bringing calamity within and beyond its walls; and the nation in the east, where she now lives, raising a whirlwind with curling horns that lifts her, frail and ill-fated, high into the sky.
