Painting Demons

They say a painter with astonishingly high artistic skill has arrived in Shendu. His name is Liu Qingshu.

After spending half the day maintaining her poised and dignified image, Luan Yu, the Holy Maiden of the Divine Cult, sneaks away while no one is looking to play in her secret garden. There she comes face-to-face with an elegant and gentle man. He has been invited to paint her portrait.

Soon afterward, news spreads through Shendu of multiple murders and the disappearance of young boys and girls.

After investigating for days, the Divine Cult's High Priest finally reaches a conclusion: a powerful demon is hiding in Shendu and harming its people.

Liu Qingshu: "You think I'm a demon too?"

Luan Yu: "Huh... Why doesn't it seem that way to me? If you really were a demon, would someone have been able to make you look this awful?"
