Queen of the Pool

A transmigrated heroine and swimming prodigy × the original male lead, a retired champion turned movie star Ye Muqiu transmigrates into a book, becoming a cannon-fodder female supporting character in a wish-fulfillment novel aimed at male readers. The male lead is focused on his career, and she is the obstacle in his way. But Ye Muqiu isn't worried right now. She's only twelve. Her part in the plot hasn't come around yet. When it does, she can just stay out of the way. But there's an urgent problem right in front of her: what is she supposed to do? She only knows how to dance onstage, not how to swim. The coach's foot is twitching, ready to kick her into the water. Ye Muqiu steels herself, shuts her eyes, pinches her nose, and jumps in. Nobody said doggy-paddling doesn't count as swimming. The poolside erupts in laughter. The coach is so angry his nose nearly twists out of shape, and he yells: "Ye Muqiu, have you burned your brain with a fever?!" Ye Muqiu is at a loss, too. She can't exactly dance in the pool, can she? Wait. Dance in the water? So, in full view of everyone, Ye Muqiu performs a water ballet. The coach and the other young athletes are stunned. The coach from the artistic swimming team, who came to watch, lights up. How had he never noticed such a promising talent before? Snatch her up! Snatch her up! From then on, the artistic swimming team has a new prodigy. [Important] This is entirely fictional. The competition format is made up by the author. The male lead merely has the title of an artistic swimming champion. Please don't argue; feel free to stay or go, and no need to tell me. Blurb written at 9 a.m. on March 5, 2021. Screenshot saved.
