My Love Rival Was Grown from a Seed

A proud, aloof sect leader meets a lovestruck Demon Lord.

One is human, the other a demon.

They have different ideals, different values, and even different species, yet fate brings them together all the same.

Will they be evenly matched rivals locked in fierce opposition, or lovers bent on killing each other in a tragic tale?

What kind of emotional entanglement awaits them?

Tune in to the Tang Dynasty fantasy romance drama, I Fell for My Arch-Enemy.

Below is an interview with the two big shots before they meet.

Name and identity?

Jin Guang, sect leader of the Orthodox Mystic Heart Sect.

Ye, Demon Lord of the Yin Moon Dynasty.

Occupation and ambition?

Jin Guang: Imperial Preceptor of the human realm. My one wish in life is to destroy the demonic path and its monsters, so the world can be at peace.

Ye: Demon Lord of the demon realm. I will carry on my father’s dying wish and unite the human and demon realms, so the demon realm will reign supreme.

But after they meet, it goes like this.

Jin Guang: I have never strayed from my original purpose and only want to focus on my career. Demon Lord, war between humans and demons is inevitable.

Ye: I only want to fall in love. Sect Leader, how about a marriage alliance between humans and demons?

Jin Guang: Ancestor, it seems I’ve been caught up with by a demon. I’m waiting here for you to appear in my dream and tell me what to do.

He waited and waited... The demon eventually became his husband, while the Ancestor’s line remained disconnected.

P.S.

1. This story takes place in an alternate setting. There’s no logic, and the focus is on romance. All the plot exists to pave the way for our two darlings.

2. There are two versions of Ye, one from a past life and one from this life, but they’re the same person.

3. This is a derivative fanfiction based on the 2003 version of A Chinese Ghost Story. I’m only fond of the characters in the TV series, not the real-life actors.

Theme: The most beautiful first meeting is... love at first sight.
