What's the Use of a Money Tree?!

Born on the first day of the Lunar New Year, Lin Yi was told by a fortune-teller that she was destined to be rich and destined to squander it all.

After getting fabulously wealthy and becoming President Lin, she happily put an exceptionally handsome money tree in her office.

From then on, she raced headlong toward poverty!

Chu You, who awoke from a deep slumber after taking the wealth from Lin Yi's fate, is a tree spirit who appears in the form of a fox.

The character Chu has the tree radical above and the foot radical below. You refers to a form of exorcism. Chu You means a tree that became a spirit, grew legs, and ran away.

Its true form is a money tree!

Lin Yi, who's so broke she can barely afford food, x Chu You, an androgynous money-tree spirit

So, who's whose money tree?

A little scene:

Money tree? How about giving me some cash?

Chu You gave a shake, and gold, silver, and jade ornaments fell all over the floor.

Lin Yi: Wow, antiques! I'm rich!

The next day, some museum would be reported to have suffered a mysterious theft. There'd be no trace at the scene, and the stolen treasures' whereabouts would be unknown.

Lin Yi's gaze slowly went blank, and her expression gradually twisted into a grimace.

I just wanted to get some cash for food. You want me to end up eating prison food!

I'm gonna fight you!

What good is a money tree if it can't even get me any renminbi!
