The Peacock Beauty

Kong Zexue is a third-rate model with first-rate looks. His greatest wish in life is to be a lazy salted fish who can just eat and wait to die.

Because he was lazy, despite his exceptional looks, he turned down offers from entertainment companies and threw himself into modeling, an industry where all he had to do was pose for photos.

Because he was lazy, and because he was a man who liked men, he thought dating was too much work and breaking up was too much hassle. He was single for twenty-two years, never having dated anyone.

Then one day, Kong Zexue got a matchmaking number for a big shot in the industry. He had only gone along to make up the numbers, but when he saw the big shot's face, his lazy, flirtatious eyes suddenly lit up.

Kong Zexue: "I'm ready. I can do this. I think I've got it in me again."

Kong Zexue had done his research. The big shot kept business and private life separate while dating, and when it came to breaking up, he was decisive and never dragged things out. So Kong Zexue boldly made his move.

But after they got together, Kong Zexue was flooded with invitations to magazine shoots and runway shows, and his opportunities were so good they made people green with envy.

Some mocked him for taking shortcuts and spread rumors that an old man had coerced him into sleeping with him.

Then the big shot came out in person, claimed him, and announced their wedding plans.

Exhausted by work, Kong Zexue was stunned. "Weren't we supposed to just have fun, then part on good terms when the time came?"

And besides, all he really wanted was to be a lazy salted fish!

The big shot furrowed his brow. "Who told you this was just for fun? The purpose of a matchmaking date is marriage."

Then he added a course on traditional wedding customs to Kong Zexue's already packed schedule.

P.S. A pampered, lazy model X a cool, abstinent CEO. A sweet little story. The blurb is provisional and will be revised later. Note from 2021.1.4.

Theme: Hard work brings prosperity, and learning lasts a lifetime.
