[Angsty, cathartic groveling arc. My next book is Can I Like You? Please add it to your list.]
Xie Chi spent seven years following Lu Xingchao, with no title and no promise.
He watched him rise from an obscure, eighteenth-tier actor nobody had ever heard of to a nationally famous, wildly successful three-time Best Actor. Like a sunflower chasing the sun, Xie Chi followed close behind Lu Xingchao, asking for nothing in return.
He took care of Lu Xingchao’s meals, kept him company and warmed his bed from time to time, and helped him through his emotional problems. When Lu Xingchao offended someone, Xie Chi even had to go apologize on his behalf, enduring their scorn and mockery.
Day after day, year after year, he lived like a dog.
Unfortunately, his love story was no fairy tale.
By the eighth year, Xie Chi had finally burned through all his ardor, his heart turned to ash.
He threw away the things they had bought together, burned the photos they had taken, then turned and left.
All he left Lu Xingchao was a resignation letter with two words: “I’m leaving.”
*
On the night they broke up, Xie Chi dragged his best friend to drink by the roadside. On the TV, Lu Xingchao appeared on a show.
He looked cold and distant, his brows and eyes arrogant. When the host asked if he had ever liked anyone, a trace of disgust crossed his face.
“No.”
Xie Chi, seated at the table, laughed.
He curled his fingers around his glass, smiled at the person beside him, and arched his eyes. A hint of red touched his eye corner. “See? I told you. He hates me so much he’d rather see me dead. How could he ever like me?”
“What about you? What are you going to do now?”
“What am I going to do?” Xie Chi thought for a moment, then laughed again. “Let him think I’m dead, then. I’ll never love him again.”
Lu Xingchao, who had secretly followed him and was waiting outside, froze. A sudden pain seized his heart.
The gift box he had spent so long preparing fell from his hands and shattered. He panicked at once.
*
Lu Xingchao’s fans noticed that the new actor who had suddenly appeared and shot to fame lately looked a lot like the assistant who used to follow Lu Xingchao everywhere, always wearing a mask.
They flooded Xie Chi’s official account, asking if he was the masked guy himself and why he had suddenly left.
Lu Xingchao clicked into the comments, only to see a highly liked comment pinned at the top: “Sorry, wrong person. We don’t know each other.”
He looked at that familiar name, yet coldly spoke words that wounded him. He had been halfway through typing “It’s him,” but suddenly couldn’t bring himself to post it.
Flirtatious, gorgeous, innocent-seeming bottom x outwardly cold, inwardly unhinged, jealous actor top
“How could he possibly like me?” (bottom) → “How could he possibly like me?” (top)
Please note before reading:
1. The top has to win back his lover. No changing tops. Happy ending.
2. Mainly from the bottom’s perspective, with an acting career plot and stories within the story. There will be scenes where the bottom’s lips touch a male supporting character’s, or where the top turns into a jealous wreck while watching the bottom act. Proceed with caution if that bothers you.
3. Same-sex marriage is legal. Expect outrageous melodrama, a deliciously over-the-top throwback.

After seeing Shen Yu’s envious gaze yet again,
Shen Yunhui decided to take his coworker’s advice and meet the person they had set him up with.
Sitting in the restaurant, he calmly explained that he had no particular requirements for a partner. He only hoped that, if they got together, the other person would take good care of his child.
Because Shen Yu wanted a dad who loved him.
Before he could finish, a man came to his side and gripped his hand tightly.
The pressure around his wrist was painful.
A familiar, gloomy presence drew close to his ear. “If that’s all you’re asking for, why not consider me?”
*
Shen Yunhui and Huo Zhou grew up together.
But life brings people together and then parts them.
When Shen Yunhui’s father changed jobs, he moved away with his parents, and the two lost contact.
They met again many years later.
Burdened by debt, Shen Yunhui followed his new employer’s assistant, quietly listening as the assistant explained how to serve the young Mr. Huo, whose personality was gloomy, demanding, and cold.
He never expected to look up and see a familiar face.
The taciturn little brother who had once followed him everywhere was now a grown man, cold, aloof, and utterly out of reach.
Unlike Shen Yunhui,
who was practically in the gutter and willing to do anything for money.
*
Shen Yunhui devoted himself to his new job.
But the sight of Huo Zhou’s young face, always appearing beside him, kept unsettling him.
Huo Zhou was cold, demanding, and blunt.
Yet he treated Shen Yunhui well, looking after him when he fell ill.
Fortunately, the contract for his new job was only for a year.
He didn’t need to worry about it too much.
But on the last night before he left the job,
Huo Zhou gently pushed open his bedroom door.
Tasting the breath on his lips,
Shen Yunhui knew Huo Zhou was drunk, but still couldn’t stop himself from sinking into the moment. They spent a night together, completely losing control.
*
Shen Yunhui didn’t want to see the look of disgust on Huo Zhou’s face when he sobered up, much less be mistaken for someone who would do anything for money and deliberately seduce him.
He hurriedly packed his things and vanished without a trace.
But months later,
he went to the hospital feeling unwell, only to discover he was pregnant.
That child would later be named Shen Yu.
Gloomy, possessive younger top x gentle beauty in dire straits bottom
Melodramatic pregnancy-and-run story, one-on-one romance, bittersweet and sweet
Theme: Everyone must learn to face their true selves. Only sincerity can win sincerity.
Does the author have his own time unit and will he post it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow? I was so scared that when I saw 8.21, There was nothing there.
Can you solve v only a few times a year? Don't think that readers are Bodhisattvas
? Updated two weeks ago. Don't be too outrageous. If you don't want to write, don't write thank you.
Two chapters a year, it's really yours
It makes me laugh so hard. I am pursuing this book when I enter graduate school in 2022. I have been working for half a year since I graduated in 2026, and I still haven't finished it yet.
The author said, they have been separated for three years, can they slowly reconcile? [Hands together]
Oh my God, when I clicked in, I found that it wasn't finished yet.
Ah ah ah ah finally updated, happy new year
I want to know how to push forward the current progress.
It's actually more complete. The sophomore year of the article I followed during the summer vacation of my freshman year of high school has finally come to an end. (This is the first time I have collected the series in my lifetime. It seems I have to find time to try it out.)
It's already written very well haha, pay attention to your body, your body comes first
