An innocent, kindhearted young lady from a noble family vs. a taciturn, stone-faced assassin from the martial world. If you're interested, add it to your favorites~
Sang Zhiyu is the only pearl of the prime minister's household in the capital, yet her heart longs for the martial world beyond the halls of court.
While her family isn't looking, she sneaks out of the manor and heads straight for the legendary martial arts tournament.
But the martial world is treacherous. She nearly dies at the hands of bandits, only to be saved by a young man in black.
“Young hero, do you take escort jobs?” Her eyes shone with eager anticipation.
The young man fell silent for a moment. “...Aren't you afraid I'm a bad person too?”
“Not at all!” She smiled, her eyes curving as she answered with certainty. “You came to my aid, so you must be a hero.”
The road through the martial world was long, and he traveled with her.
He shielded her from open attacks and hidden daggers, and watched sunsets and rivers with her.
Their traveling companions teased them for being inseparable. She pressed her lips together to hide her smile, catching sight of his reddening ears.
Until the martial arts tournament, where his identity as an assassin was exposed in front of everyone.
“Demon!” the crowd roared.
Her family shielded her tightly. Through his bloodstained robes, she saw only his eyes dim with despair.
Later, when Sang Zhiyu returned to her life of luxury, she realized her heart had been left in the martial world.
When she turned back to search for him, whatever the cost, she received word that he was gravely injured and near death.
She rushed over with a group of people and found him in a pool of blood.
After he recovered, he only wanted to leave. “My hands are stained with blood. I'm not worthy of you.”
Sang Zhiyu blocked his way, her gaze burning bright. “If you have no feelings for me, then leave now. But if you do...”
Looking at him, she said each word slowly: “Stay.”
The bright moon of the capital x the wind and snow of the martial world
Reading Guide:
1. Not a conventional wuxia story. Plenty of original settings, and the entire backdrop serves the plot.
2. 1v1, both leads' first relationship. A naive, stubborn, lively, kindhearted young lady from the capital x a taciturn, stone-faced assassin from the martial world who is kind at heart.
3. The protagonists grow over time and may be imperfect at first.
4. I'm always looking for a title. This silly author is terrible at naming things TAT.
Theme: Identity cannot stand in the way of love
