[Story Blurb]--
Hua Ran is a guide for a program that helps retired villains find new careers.
With her guidance, emperors become domineering CEOs, dragons become winery workers, obsessive zombie kings become haunted-house NPCs, dual-personality demon lords become top streamers, aloof vampires become bank executives, and cybernetic evil gods become top-tier stars in the entertainment industry...
Everything seems like a fairy tale, with everyone starting happy new lives in the real world. But lately, Hua Ran has had a problem.
--The villains who've already obtained temporary residence permits for the present day keep showing up at her house. They can't stand one another, so they fight from time to time and squabble over every bite of food, turning her life into utter chaos.
Hua Ran, world-weary: "If you're going to mooch a meal, fine, but no fighting!"
Another gloomy day trapped in a battlefield of romantic rivals. [shrug.jpg]
Hua Ran is an efficient but coldhearted guide. As soon as a target finds a suitable job, she shows them the door without a second thought. She's broken plenty of young men's hearts and earned herself no shortage of resentful admirers who turned bitter when their love went unreturned.
Only one person managed to become an exception through sheer shamelessness. He refuses to leave her house, even though he's already made his way to the top. Instead, he keeps acting cute and playing up his charms, hoping to live off her.
Hua Ran finally reaches her limit and chases him down, running with him along eighteen star-lit streets.
Characters from TV, comics, and novels enter the real world.
[Coming Soon] Cyber Shanhaijing and the Beast Tamer
It's already 2088, but Bai Ge's family still does things the old-fashioned way: invoking gods, honoring spirits, commanding ghosts, and taming monsters. They use their copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas until it's worn out. So when Bai Ge hit puberty, she rebelled and became the top delinquent in the old city.
Then one day, her father suddenly disappeared, and creatures from their family's ancient copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas began flying all over the streets. The rest of the clan wept and wailed, so Bai Ge had no choice but to take on the duty of capturing the monsters. After all, her family had been entrusted with guarding the Classic of Mountains and Seas...
Though she was supposed to capture mythical beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas, she occasionally ran into monsters from the West or Japan. And when that happened...
Bai Ge, unconcerned: It's basically the same thing anyway (not really). I'll just capture them all.
Soon, the vampire elders of the Roman Empire came to demand an explanation, the head of a Japanese onmyoji clan came to demand their shikigami, and Cthulhu cultists from all over came looking for their god...
Bai Ge, coldly: Once something's been captured, we don't give it back. That's the rule in our Bai family.
When the people who wanted their things back attacked her, she released countless monsters. In an instant, a hundred ghosts walked in broad daylight.
Bai Ge smiled and put away the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
Traditional monsters + modern city + campus + cyberpunk + a touch of Cthulhu
Highly armed, intelligent robotic soldiers: "Ka-ba-ba" (translation: We can't win.)
The Old Ones: "Rustle, rustle" (translation: The ancient gods of China are terrifying indeed.)
.
Theme: If everyone gives a little love, even villains can become lovable, and the world can be filled with positive energy.
Sure enough, 007 and 996 are human sores
