[Mainly DRB] Miss Lingfeng Is Just a Researcher

Jinguji Suzukaze is a folklorist.

She was originally an atheist studying medicine, until a certain god saved her and she witnessed a miracle with her own eyes. She abandoned medicine and began pursuing traces of the gods with near-mad fervor.

After getting her wish and truly becoming a god's servant, no longer human, she discovers that a conspiracy seems to be brewing.

When she returns to Japan, the Chuo-ku puts her through the full hypnosis-and-brainwashing treatment. It doesn't work, though, because she's not human.

Still, to investigate Chuo-ku's aims, she decides to pretend she's been brainwashed and work there as a corporate drone researcher.

Jinguji Suzukaze, an ancient god's follower who has become nonhuman and spends her days tearing mythological creatures apart with her bare hands: Some humans seem to think their lives are going too smoothly and want to find trouble for themselves.

◆ The setting contains lots of Lovecraftian references. The main fandom is Hypnosis Mic, with some crossover elements and plot changes, as well as original worldbuilding.

◆ The protagonist is Jinguji Jakurai's younger sister, half-nonhuman, and a follower of ancient gods. She is proficient in magic but loves physical attacks, the natural enemy of mythological creatures, has a taste for blood, and has very low sanity. She usually seems calm and gentle, but that's an act. When she goes berserk, she's terrifying.

◆ The endgame pairing is Shimizudani Mayo, an original character.
