The Immortal White Moonlight

Why does the noble-born white moonlight shou always lose to the kept substitute?

Why do childhood sweethearts from well-matched families always lose to someone gentle, considerate, and attentive?

Why, after all those precious memories we shared, is the person standing by your side in the end not me?

I've read so many stories where the substitute rises to the top, and I feel sorry for the white moons who get pushed aside.

The substitute gets everything by resembling them, while the original is left with nothing and may even be trampled into the dirt after turning dark.

If the substitute doesn't know they're a substitute, that's one thing.

But some know perfectly well, and even use all sorts of methods to sleep with the gong who still loves his white moonlight.

They keep saying, “I don't care that you love him. I want nothing from you, I just want to be with you.”

Then, once their wish comes true, the gong stays coldhearted and never falls for the substitute, no matter how much time they spend together.

The gong gets cursed out by readers for having no heart, while the white moonlight shou, the original partner, gets turned into the other woman. Truly tragic.

So I want to write a story that turns the usual tropes on their head.

Love isn't something you can earn just by being humble and giving everything.

If a relationship isn't between equals, even getting what you want can leave you feeling guilty.

Writing this to satisfy myself. Still melodramatic, and updates will be irregular.

I want to be your first and your last, the dream you had when you were young.

Moonlight never fades. A counterfeit is still a counterfeit.
