The Calamity of Akechi Toru

"What do you think about death?" The Hong Kong Mafia boss looked at his dear executive with the tender concern of someone looking after a child. "Oh, that's a tough question. Going by my first impression, of course I don't want to die. Are you asking what death means to me, or what I think about life and death? But for living things, death has been inevitable ever since the moment we're born, so I've accepted that. Still, until that moment comes, nobody knows..."

A trail of black flowers drifted behind the youngest executive in the history of the BOSS. His sharp gaze sliced toward the slug and the great detective beside him, both of whom were struggling not to laugh.

"What's wrong, Dazai-kun? If you disagree, feel free to speak up. Our Mafia believes in democracy, too. Personally, I think it's nice to have more different voices..."

"Please shut up."

"In terms of your position, you don't seem to have that authority. But if you're making the suggestion as a friend, I'll consider listening. After all, as the saying goes, 'The more friends you have, the more paths you have...' Mmmph! Take your hand off my mouth!"

"Sorry." His beloved subordinate smiled like a pure little flower. "I don't understand your order."

For the Hong Kong Mafia boss, today was yet another day of being forced to shut up.

2. The protagonist is a chatterbox from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. He is not an original character. This is a rework of an old story.
