An Engaged Couple in Ancient Times

Chu Wan Yue, a 24-year-old unmarried woman who had just graduated from graduate school, was pretty and graceful, with an air as lovely as an orchid. Yan Qing He was strikingly handsome. He'd been the campus heartthrob at school and a dreamboat after entering the workforce. As soon as he graduated, he took over his father's business and became a small-time coal boss. Then one day, the two of them suddenly got engaged. They exchanged a glance and felt no spark, so they turned around and went to find their parents, who were happily drinking celebratory wine together, intending to call off the engagement. Just as they opened their mouths, a gas explosion occurred, and both families transmigrated at the same time. The hot topic in Peach Blossom Village lately was that Yan Ergou and his wife were so poor they'd married off their only son, a gifted scholar, into the Chu family as a live-in son-in-law! Yan Qing He pounded the ground and wailed: Yan Ergou is my father! Chu Wan Yue was speechless with emotion: Master Chu is my father! Question: What are your strong suits for surviving in ancient times? Chu Wan Yue: The Four Books and Five Classics. I know them by heart, but I can't take the imperial examinations. Yan Qing He: Eating, drinking, and having fun. I'm good at it all, but sadly I'm no academic. They looked at each other, both blushing. They'd gotten married just yesterday, and even consummated it. In short: The story of an engaged couple who were about to call off their engagement in the modern era, but slowly fell in love after a bumpy start in ancient times. Theme: Love comes from nowhere, yet once it begins, it runs deep
