The spirits of heaven and earth gave rise to yin and yang.
Yang transformed into a god and was bestowed a title by Heaven: Emperor Bailin.
Yin took form in Cangming and was called the God of Cangming.
Yin and yang harmonized, helping the Heavenly Realm reign supreme.
But then disaster descended from Heaven. The Pillar of Heaven shattered, and the sky screen split open. The pure energy of Heaven became falling fire, plunging into the mortal world. It could destroy the land and evaporate the seas, and all of creation was on the verge of returning to nothingness.
To resolve this calamity threatening the Three Realms, the God of Cangming sealed the rift in the sky with her body and shattered her soul to mend the Pillar of Heaven. The Three Realms were finally saved from their suffering, but the god's soul and spirit were scattered.
Her husband, the son of the Heavenly Emperor, roamed the Three Realms in search of her shattered soul and a way to bring her back reborn. No one knows where he is.
