Wen Yan is the only daughter of the Wen family of Tiandi Fortress. Gifted beyond compare, she is a bona fide heaven-blessed genius. Going by the usual storybook formula, she should have a down-on-his-luck fiancé who will one day rise through his own efforts, while she and the Wen family are destined to be the villains who get defeated.
But something doesn't seem right.
Wen Yan looks at the storybook's description of herself, wielding a long sword every day and wearing a multicolored celestial gown, ethereal as an immortal, then looks at the plain saber in her hand and her plain disciple's uniform.
The storybook says that after something happens to her fiancé's family, her father will go to settle the marriage between their families. So who's that guy under the tree?
"Hey, I've got it."
Thoroughly baffled, Miss Wen tosses aside the perplexing storybook and charges forward with her saber.
Whether the storybook is true or not doesn't matter. If there's really a heroine, then she can call off this engagement.
That so-called "extraordinary woman" had better show up soon!
A straightforward young lady who dares to cut down anything with a saber VS a male lead skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, painting, swords, staffs, formations, and talismans (everything except sabers)
The heroine may be very impulsive, the sort who would rather act than waste time talking. She's not stupid, just very straightforward, to the point that even bluntly stating her feelings may not work. The male lead is scheming, clever, and unbelievably strong.
The original heroine may appear only briefly, and won't show up early.
