[Brilliant, super-A documentary director x sweet-on-the-outside, ruthless-on-the-inside CEO]
[Doesn't understand love x fake perfection | A guiding lover | A gentle, cozy, post-marriage romance]
Tang Yi first met Shen Zhiyi on the day of their blind date.
The man was the renowned head of the Shen family in Lincheng, every bit as elegant, handsome, and refined as the rumors claimed.
Countless socialites wanted to marry into his family, yet he had reached out first to her, an outsider on the fringes of their circle.
With a gentle smile, he explained that their marriage would be a matter of mutual benefit, and that they would not interfere in each other's lives after the wedding.
For Tang Yi, who cared more about her career than starting a family, it sounded like a pretty good deal.
She happily agreed.
At first, married life was just as she'd imagined.
Shen Zhiyi never interfered with her work. She kept her head down and focused on filming, so busy that she almost forgot about the husband she'd gotten at a bargain.
But gradually, she began to notice something was off.
Shen Zhiyi started appearing in front of her more and more often.
He would personally pick her up after work and bring her late-night snacks when she had to work overtime.
He remembered all her likes and habits, and every anniversary they shared.
He traveled a long way to her filming location, bringing cake, fine wine, and a sky full of stars, and spent the first birthday of her life that truly felt like a birthday with her.
He was gentle and considerate, giving her all of his patience.
In anyone's eyes, he was the picture of a perfect husband.
Tang Yi hadn't thought much of it. She assumed he was simply the sort of person who treated everyone exceptionally well.
Until one day, when he came to pick her up after she'd worked late and caught a new intern confessing his feelings to her. He mistakenly thought she liked the young man too.
That night, the man who was always so gentle and composed lost control of his emotions in front of her for the first time.
His strong palm nearly crushed her wrist as he held her captive in his arms and asked what the younger man had that he didn't.
His eyes were bloodshot. His pride shattered, he asked her almost pleadingly, "Tangtang, when are you finally going to see me?"
-
Later, Tang Yi happened to find a yellowed sketchbook on his bookshelf.
It was filled from cover to cover with drawings of the same girl.
In one of them, she stood beneath a cherry tree, the brilliant blossoms framing her as she smiled freely and radiantly.
That was what she had looked like at sixteen.
That had been their first meeting.

[Secret crush from youth / lighthearted, healing romance]
[Spoiled, adorable ray of sunshine x gloomy, aloof, untouchable beauty]
If you asked Jiang Yi what she regretted most in her life, she'd say she shouldn't have bullied Shen Wenyan when he was staying at her house.
Back then, Shen Wenyan was the model student in everyone else's eyes. He was handsome, got good grades, and was quiet and well-mannered. Compared to spoiled Jiang Yi, whom her parents doted on, they were worlds apart.
But only Jiang Yi knew that he was gloomy and cold-blooded at heart, nothing like the person everyone else thought he was.
Jiang Yi couldn't stand him and was always ordering him around, treating him like her little sidekick.
She made him fetch tea and water, do her homework, massage her legs and shoulders, and buy her snacks.
She even made him deliver a love letter to his good friend on her behalf.
The most outrageous thing of all happened on the night of her eighteenth birthday.
She got completely drunk, grew bold, grabbed him by the chin, and forcefully kissed him.
-
After the college entrance exams, Shen Wenyan went to the United States and cut off contact with everyone.
Jiang Yi thought they would never cross paths again.
Then, the year she graduated, she stayed in Beijing to work.
On her first day as a full-time employee, her unscrupulous landlord kicked her out of her rental.
That night, soaked by the rain and looking a complete mess, she rushed to the temporary place her father had found for her to stay.
But when she arrived, she found a man in the house, which had been empty until then.
He was broad-shouldered and long-legged, with handsome features. He seemed to have just showered and was wearing a bathrobe loosely draped around him.
His refined features were veiled by the steam as he looked at her warily and with confusion.
It was none other than Shen Wenyan, the very person she'd foolishly bullied all those years ago. QAQ
A tiger fallen on hard times is bullied by dogs. Their positions had now been reversed, and she was the one living under his roof.
Jiang Yi dutifully kept her head down and behaved, treating Shen Wenyan with far more gentleness and sweetness than she had back then.
But later, she accidentally provoked him all the same.
That night, he cornered her in a dark corner of the living room, held her chin, and kissed her deeply.
Tears glistened at the corners of Jiang Yi's eyes as she begged him to let her go.
Shen Wenyan refused to release her, smiling coldly. "Didn't you kiss me the same way that night?"
Jiang Yi: ???
I didn't! I didn't! Don't make things up! QAQ!
Theme: Love means holding hands and walking together, looking in the same direction.
