[The next novels, "Reborn as the Big Villains' Beloved" and "I'm the White Moonlight They Can't Forget," are available to follow in my author's profile.]
Chu Sang first met Jian Yuan at Jian Corporation. The CEO himself was arrogant and conceited. He didn't even look at her resume, sneering that she had nothing going for her but her looks.
Chu Sang was furious. She slammed into a streetlight and unexpectedly gained a damage-immunity skill.
Overjoyed by her new skill, Chu Sang thought: To hell with Jian Yuan, and to hell with CEOs. From now on, I'm invincible! So what if you're rich? I can catch a blade with my bare hands, and I can walk away from an explosion without looking back. Can you?
Fueled by the conviction that she was invincible, Chu Sang became a sensation in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Jian Yuan started getting hurt for no apparent reason. First, he felt as if he were being burned, and his arm became bruised. Then his fingers began bleeding for no reason. One disaster after another kept happening to him.
Until he discovered the culprit.
Chu Sang thought Jian Yuan had lost his mind. Before, he'd looked down on her like she was dirt. Now he was willing to spend a fortune on her, offering her top-tier opportunities, eight bodyguards, and four housekeepers. He even wanted to build her a golden house.
Chu Sang: "Mr. Jian, are you trying to keep me?"
Jian Yuan gave her a humorless smile. "Your beauty deserves nothing less."
Later, after Chu Sang learned the truth, she gave him the same humorless smile and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Jian. I won't build my happiness on your suffering. From now on, I'll take good care of myself and make sure you don't get hurt so easily."
At a party one day, Chu Sang sat in a corner, terrified that bumping into someone might cause trouble for a certain CEO. Then she saw Jian Yuan coming toward her, his eyes bloodshot and his lips deathly pale.
Jian Yuan: "My heart hurts."
Chu Sang answered firmly, "I absolutely did not stab myself with a knife!"
Jian Yuan lowered his head, looking a little aggrieved. "My heart hurts because you're ignoring me."
Next novel: "Reborn as the Big Villains' Beloved"
Blurb: Little pufferfish Xi Yueyue has finally become a spirit, joining the family of villains in an old-school, melodramatic novel.
Her father is a ruthless CEO who transmigrated from a novel about a domineering executive who has people harvest kidneys and wombs. Her mother came from a palace-intrigue novel and was the champion of turning people into human furniture. Her eldest brother came from a fantasy novel and is a great demon who slaughtered an entire city. Her second brother came from a wuxia novel and is a dreaded poisoner who wiped out an entire sect.
System: "Kill them and preserve peace in this world."
Little Pufferfish: "Got it!"
System: "Such a promising pupil..."
Little Pufferfish held out a steaming bowl of soup and said in her baby voice, "Daddy, you worked so hard today. Have some soup."
Little Pufferfish snuggled into her mother's bed and said softly, "Don't be scared, Mommy. Yueyue will blow on it, and the nightmare will go away."
Standing on a little stool in front of her eldest brother, Little Pufferfish said, "Nobody is... is allowed to bully my big brother!"
Little Pufferfish lay on the sofa with tears in her eyes. "Second Brother likes poison. I'm poisonous, so you can pluck my fur, Brother. Yueyue isn't... isn't afraid of pain..."
System: "Little Pufferfish, I said to kill them! Not..."
Later:
Father: "What? I won't do anything illegal. Yueyue is only three. I have to set a good example for her."
Mother: "Turning people into human furniture is ancient history. I don't do that anymore. My daughter's so young. She'd be scared."
Eldest Brother: "If anyone lays a hand on my sister, I'll slaughter their whole family."
Second Brother: "If my sister doesn't like it, I won't poison him."
System: "...Uh, I guess that's pretty peaceful."
Theme: Protecting yourself is everyone's responsibility.
The heroine's parents are really good at moral kidnapping. They really ignore the heroine's wishes and treat her as a commodity, but they still have to pay for it.
The ending is brilliant, the plot is compact and the ideas are novel. That's good, it leaves room for imagination.
Although it's short, it's quite pretty, spreading flowers!
Obviously the male and female protagonists are okay, but the female protagonist's parents are too heart-wrenching... Sending their daughter to be fostered and accepting huge sums of money on their own initiative for her daughter made me hard-core. This is already a bottom-line issue, not a small issue that can be tolerated by apologizing and exaggerating the pain. The author really doesn't think this is a very serious issue...
Meow meow meow? Is this the end???
It's really unexpected. I thought I would at least get a few more chapters, but I'm just letting it go
Hahahaha, but it ended too quickly, I didn't react
Ah? Is this the end? Not enough
Keep up the good work! Getting better and better, reaching the next level!
