Demons and monsters ravage the human world, leaving devastation in their wake. The immortals of Heaven fight them with all their might, but the demons reproduce too quickly. To exterminate them once and for all, a large force is needed.
One day, the wise old Lord Zhishu, who managed the books in Heaven, quietly told the Heavenly Emperor that the children of humans and gods possessed power equal to Heaven itself, especially those with royal blood. On a sudden impulse, the Heavenly Emperor discussed a plan with the Human Emperor. All young women of marriageable age with royal blood would be required to join with the capable warriors chosen by Heaven.
Their descendants would possess the magic of the immortals, yet still grow old and die like ordinary mortals.
They were collectively known as demon hunters.
