I Took Hanfu to the Stars! [Full-Dive VR]

[This went off-topic. I'll see if I can get back to it.]

[Can't get back to it, oops.

What would it be like to suddenly arrive three thousand years in the future, where humanity rules the entire galaxy?

Rui An lies flat on her nano-molecule-made recliner, enjoying a massage from the smart AI beside her. She thinks: Probably like having every full-dive game imaginable at your fingertips, getting from Earth to the moon in just an hour and a half, and being able to sail through a sea of stars.

That's the sort of thing!

What a thrill! This place is paradise for shut-ins, a haven for homebodies. She could stay inside for a year and play every single game at home!

But, as cool as the game's skins and metal mechs are, she's still a girl and prefers pretty, ethereal dresses!

What? You people in the future have never even seen Hanfu? Damn it, does that mean this shut-in has to make it herself?

At first, Rui An simply sent a letter to a game company, asking them to make a new skin for her favorite character. She included a list of requirements: it should be a long dress with flowing water sleeves, preferably with a round fan. You don't know what a round fan is? It's that thing, that thing! The round one!

After that, shut-ins all over the interstellar world begged the game company to make her a second design.

Magnificent robes, high-waisted Ru skirts, and ethereal dresses with enormous sleeves.

The splendor of Tang attire, the elegance of the Wei and Jin dynasties.

The brilliance of five thousand years of Chinese civilization shines anew in the future through every garment.

That spirited elegance, as if it could pluck the moon from the sky, brought color back to a world that had become utterly empty in spirit.

P.S.:

1. I'm stuck, so updates will be irregular.

2. No outline and no backlog. I won't write it very long, so don't wait for it to build up. It might die suddenly.

3. The male lead isn't human.

Theme: China's five-thousand-year civilization has a long and enduring history.
