Sweetheart in private x ice-cold in public
As an industry-recognized authority, the annual Shengying Film Festival draws countless celebrities and big names, bringing the stars together.
On the night of the awards ceremony, the venue was buzzing, and the fans' cheers nearly lifted the roof off the hall.
During the intermission, the host went down to the guest seats to interact with the celebrities, at the sponsor's request.
Gui Yuan, seated in a corner, was the first to be picked. She was asked to show the audience the phone wallpaper she had been using lately.
Gui Yuan's popularity had soared recently, and she was constantly in the spotlight. When the anime-style wallpaper on her phone appeared on the giant screen onstage, the crowd went wild.
That is, until a message popped up on her phone:
[Room 1225. Come up.]
The whole venue fell silent for three seconds, then erupted.

The Shengying Film Festival was livestreamed in its entirety, and footage of the incident quickly spread online.
Related trending topics shot to the top of the charts, putting Gui Yuan right in the eye of the storm.
The haters watching the livestream clapped and cheered, vowing to expose the backer behind Gui Yuan. They even went to extraordinary lengths to dig up the list of guests staying at the hotel chosen by the organizers that night.
But the name listed was:
Room 1225, He Xinyi.
The whole internet, watching the drama unfold: ...?
This isn't how we imagined it going.
For goodness' sake, say it again:
Who is the room's occupant?!
-
He Xinyi, a top actor in both film and television, is cool and aloof, proud and unconstrained. His face is captivating, and people call him a powerhouse who could reach the top on looks alone, yet insists on relying on his acting skills. Among current actors, he is indisputably an all-around top-tier star.
The room-number scandal trended all night. After the ceremony, facing a sea of microphones thrust toward him, he stood under the spotlights and drawled, “Is it really so outrageous for a couple to spend the night together?”
#Not outrageous at all#
#But... it's you we're talking about#
#Aaaah! This is a disaster!#
