Grain Rain in May

In ancient China, Grain Rain was divided into three pentads: “First, duckweed begins to grow; second, the cuckoo flaps its wings; third, the hoopoe descends to the mulberry trees.”

Wu Guyu didn't know which of the three, duckweed, cuckoo, or hoopoe, He Kui, Cheng Feng, and Cheng Zhirui each represented to her.

He Kui was a sturdy pine, yet no one knew him

Cheng Feng was an alluring poppy, dazzling but poisonous

And Zhirui? He didn't know either. Maybe he was just an ordinary person.
