My Archrival Takes My Curse for a Love Confession

Chu Wu, a crow spirit, is a legendary calamity of the highest order. Anyone who sees her has to spit and mutter, "What bad luck."

Hoping to improve her lot by going abroad and becoming an auspicious bird, Chu Wu gets her visa denied. Now a "person without legal status," she is forced to team up with Ju Li, a demon slayer she can't stand. Together, they take on assignments from the "Is There Any Hope?" app and deal with incidents caused by evil spirits.

But her human partner is completely unhinged. She has the mindset of a chicken spirit worshipping a weasel, a cat acting as a bridesmaid for a mouse.

Bloodied from head to toe, Chu Wu: We're partners, right? Help me out!

Ju Li, edging away as she speaks: Can't help you. Just wait to die. I'm off. This is too much trouble. Wouldn't reincarnating right away be faster?

After being sold out time and again, Chu Wu: I curse you to be bound for all eternity to the person you hate most!

Ju Li, utterly unrepentant: That's an option?

Chu Wu's crow's curses always come true.

After going through eighty-one trials, she finds a name she knows all too well listed as the target of the final assignment: Ju Li.

As it turns out, the person Ju Li hates most and the person she loves most have always been one and the same.

Well, Chu Wu is a crow spirit who keeps her promises, after all.

She means what she says.

So they'll be together for all eternity, never to part.

Theme: Humans and demons may follow different paths, but ours lead to the same destination.
