That Jerk Left Me Behind to Become an Immortal

Just after transmigrating, Wei Huaijue was foretold to be a once-in-a-thousand-years cultivation genius. So he set off over mountains and rivers with his inseparable servant, Si Chen, all for the elusive path to immortality.

The journey was full of danger. After enduring countless hardships, Wei Huaijue finally reached the cultivation world, only to discover that he was nothing but a bit player.

The so-called once-in-a-thousand-years cultivation genius wasn't him at all. It was his servant, Si Chen.

At the disciple-selection ceremony, Si Chen was naturally accepted as the personal disciple of the sect leader, elevated above the rest, like a true immortal.

Meanwhile, Wei Huaijue was found to have five spiritual roots and learned, while worrying that Si Chen might be nervous and afraid, that he had no hope of cultivating in this life.

That night, grieving Wei Huaijue took some wine and went to find Si Chen, hoping for comfort. But after waiting half an hour at the foot of the mountain, he heard from an outer disciple that Si Chen had only said he was busy.

Once they'd shared hardships together, but after a vast difference in status divided them, their friendship drifted away on the wind.

Wei Huaijue gave a bitter laugh and turned back.

Who knew that on the way home, he would be swept into a crimson mist?

In a daze, Wei Huaijue seemed to glimpse Si Chen in the mist, flushed all over, his pale eyes brimming with desire, the scene before them wavering with heat.

“Go away.” Si Chen looked at him coldly, no longer dependent on him as he once was.

Provoked, Wei Huaijue threw his arms around Si Chen anyway.
