Every day, they wonder if they should just kill each other. “What? Love-hate relationship?” No! Someone’s gotten jealous. Just so you know.

As the saying goes, “A quarrel in bed is made up in bed.” That’s what “love” looks like. No objections accepted. This isn’t The Truth Is a Lie, it’s The Truth Is True, true, true. This author has no writing skills, just wrote this in a fit of passion. The main characters are two genuinely childish old toddlers falling in love.

Somehow, this book has now passed a million words, but the longer I write, the more problems I find. Frantically gasping for air.gif~

The chapters I wrote at the beginning, especially the first 95, are a mess, from the wording to the paragraph breaks, emm... What even is this... Sitting bolt upright in bed, tears streaming... Before finishing the book, I’ll find time to rewrite them (trying to save face) (trying to salvage it)~

It’s not that I don’t want to hurry up and revise the story or write new chapters. The main problem is that this author has been sick for years and is in very poor condition, without enough energy or stamina, so I can’t keep up a regular update schedule.

Ahem, anyway, the story spans 2005 to 2021 and will probably be around two to three million words... maybe?

This is my first long novel, and I have no idea how to estimate the length. In short, I’m not sure! There are 23 volumes in all, and I’ve only reached Volume 12 so far [runs away clutching head.gif].

The career plot is broadly based on real events. Sese is tied to Real Madrid, Pique to Barcelona, and Spain is their national team in international tournaments.

99% of the sporting results follow history. Career and match plots are only here to serve the romance. The whole story is an alternate reality with a fictional pairing, and the everyday life is pseudo-realistic.

The tone mixes sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and salty flavors. It isn’t a traditional pure-sugar romance, but a serious story about childish people falling in love.

Because I’ve always had the habit of licking the knife to get a taste of sugar when shipping Shui-Pi, the romance takes center stage. The Shui-Pi couple is ridiculously sweet, with an astonishing level of fluff. Natural sugar and artificial sweetener are mixed together, so please enjoy in moderation.

The author genuinely ships Shui-Pi and is a Shui-Pi-Shui patient lying in the intensive care unit of the Shui-Pi-Shui ward. So this story is just self-indulgent writing for my own corner of the fandom, a product of writing what I want to read. Shipping the couple is the main point.

Fellow brothers and sisters reading and shipping along, please remember this is fanfiction and don’t conflate it with the real people.

This fanfiction is a semi-fantastical work, based on reality and reworked with my own personal preferences and secondary interpretations!!!

So please don’t equate the characters in the story completely with real people. Thank you. Also, back then I was a fake football fan who only watched for the players’ looks, so please don’t nitpick the details.

I don’t take sides. Please don’t pick fights over anything. I don’t have any particular preferences for clubs, so I neither praise nor criticize them (except for the characters’ respective loyalties)!

The author’s personal preference is Shui-Pi~ My shipping-fan preference outranks Torres~ My player-fan preference outranks my national-team-fan preference for the Spanish squad.

When Pique voluntarily left the national team in 2018, I lost my mind. So after this book is finished, I’ll write a separate, very short spin-off where the little bear changes sex. The spin-off (A Wondrous World, A Wondrous Experience) is connected to real events in the main story. In the middle and later parts, the two leads will occasionally transmigrate into a wondrous otherworld (the spin-off’s world). In the spin-off, Pique changes sex and the female little bear enthusiastically bears cubs. Those cubs will make a “fantasy” appearance in the later parts of the main story. If you can’t handle this extra story about the little bear changing sex and giving birth, let’s part on good terms.
