Signing In at the Forbidden City

After dying suddenly from overwork, Yan Qiyun transmigrates to the Kangxi era and becomes the longest-lived woman in the entire Qing imperial court: Consort Ding, of the Wanliu Ha clan. She will eventually live to the age of ninety-seven, but right now she's only eighteen and an inconspicuous palace maid. After transmigrating, Yan Qiyun also gets a reward System said to treat procrastination. [Ding! Host has completed today's thirty-minute calligraphy lesson and its homework. One consecutive day checked in. Reward: one tael of silver!] You have to understand, the original owner, a palace maid, only earned thirty taels of silver a year! And the longer she keeps up her daily check-ins, the better the rewards! Health and wellness techniques, calligraphy lessons, cosmetics, delicious food, and even some TV shows and novels, filmed or written by who knows whom. Yan Qiyun: They'll pay me to cultivate a personal interest? What a deal! If she can figure out how to get a small promotion and improve her living conditions, she'll be able to lie flat and live like a lazy fish! Court intrigue? Whoever wants to fight can go ahead. She's not interested. And yet, the woman who was supposed to barely make it to the rank of consort in Kangxi's later years somehow skips past the Four Consorts to become a Noble Consort, then an Imperial Noble Consort, and even the Empress Dowager! P.S.: 1. The female lead is favored, but not the emperor's only favorite. She loves herself most of all and has no romantic feelings for Kangxi. 2. She has a powerful golden finger, and there are lots of original worldbuilding details! 3. A Qing-era transmigration slice-of-life story about the female lead eating, drinking, having fun, and living like a lazy fish. 4. No dramatic schemes or tangled romantic affairs. It's truly an everyday-life story! [Coming soon, please add to your collection: *A Survival Guide for Disasters in Ancient Times [System]*] On her way to take the CET-6 exam, Lu Shuning is struck by a car and sent flying into the air, but strangely, she doesn't feel any pain. When she dazedly opens her eyes, the concrete road and traffic lights before her have all disappeared! She has transmigrated into the body of a thirteen-year-old girl in an unnamed ancient dynasty, fleeing with her clan. After days of traveling, the girl is pale and emaciated, little more than skin and bones. Both her parents are dead, and all she has is a ten-year-old brother and a seven-year-old sister to rely on. Just as she's worrying about how a family of little turnips is supposed to survive... [Ding! Congratulations, player, you've bound the Disaster Survival System. Make your first purchase for six wen and get a special gift!] Lu Shuning: A first purchase??? Is that really something a golden finger should say? With pockets emptier than her face, Lu Shuning angrily slaps her thigh! [Ding! Player defeated a mosquito. Experience +1, copper coins +1.] Uh... [Please prepare. Time until the drought arrives: 14 days, 23:59:59.] Because the System comes with a "natural disaster countdown" feature, Lu Shuning, having transmigrated to an unnamed ancient dynasty, can only hurry to stockpile food, improve her abilities, and build the "starter village" selected by the System: an abandoned city from a former dynasty hidden deep in the mountains! Natural disasters are rampant across Dayuan, but the new emperor is incompetent. The people, unable to survive, flee everywhere with what little they own. But Dayuan is in ruins, and just when they have given up hope, they come across a celestial city. Crops that grow rapidly despite disasters, a self-service supermarket with no one to run it, and jobs that earn them enough money to support themselves! They're saved! P.S.: 1. The story focuses on natural disasters: droughts, locust plagues, floods, and blizzards. 2. The dynasty is fictional, and the female lead won't reveal her connection to the city. Theme: The secret to longevity is emotional stability
