Too Much Heart-Pounding

Ning Yan's company has a new colleague named Yu Baize. He looks over six feet tall, but wears an old tracksuit that's too short for him. His long hair is messy, and he has a pair of beautiful fox eyes.

He's shameless, likes mooching food at work, and loves showering people with praise. To his colleagues, he's an annoying but lovable clown.

Ning Yan doesn't know that she gave Yu Baize hope when he was in despair, or that he fell in love with her at first sight and would do anything to reach her.

Later, she catches him picking through trash with a snakeskin sack, and discovers he lives beneath an overpass, shivering under a tattered blanket in the middle of winter, surrounded by the junk he's collected. That's when she starts paying attention to him.

She discovers that whenever he mooches a meal, he always repays her in some other way, and that he's incredibly helpful.

When she finishes work late at night, he silently follows behind to protect her.

When she's sad, he brings her chocolate to cheer her up. When she's sick, he rides his bike for an hour to rush over and see her.

He even secretly takes her to see the grandest fireworks display, then asks as devoutly as a believer, "Yanyan, could you maybe like me just a little?"

Under the dazzling fireworks, Yanyan falls for him, and the two begin dating in secret.

When their relationship is discovered, her colleagues advise her, "Yanyan, you deserve someone better."

Her nemesis Susan mocks her: "Getting yourself a bargain-bin man like that is hilarious!"

The bargain-bin man transforms into the heir to the Yu Group.

Everyone is dumbstruck. Ning Yan has somehow landed the deal of a lifetime, and they're so envious their eyes turn red.

But not long afterward, the young master leaves and returns to his world.

Her colleagues are furious: "What a jerk!"

Susan laughs like a squawking hen: "A pheasant can't turn into a phoenix!"

Half a month later, Yu Baize appears outside the company with a bouquet of flowers. Looking at Ning Yan with fondness, he says, "Honey, I'm here to pick you up after work!"

Ning Yan walks over and takes his arm, then turns back with a bright smile. "Let me introduce you. This is my husband, Yu Baize."

Her colleagues exclaim, "Congratulations!"

Her nemesis Susan gets spectacularly face-slapped, left red and swollen like a pig's head.
