Courting Death

[A carefree little rose x a sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside yandere]

The thing Ruan Luo regrets most in her life

is teasing the aloof, indifferent top student in her class just for fun.

When she realizes he's cruel and unpredictable, nothing like he seems, she chooses a faraway university and flees.

In countless dreams of their separation, the boy's words echo like a curse: "It would be nice if A-Luo could live in my cage forever."

Carefree Ruan Luo wakes up in a cold sweat, deeply relieved to have escaped his clutches.

If only her mother hadn't married into the Yue family out of vanity.

On the day they reunite, Ruan Luo doesn't realize disaster is about to strike. She's wearing his favorite pale yellow.

"This is your Brother Yue," her newly appointed stepfather says, warmly introducing the handsome young man coming downstairs. "You'll be siblings from now on, so you should love each other."

The young man glances at her, then leans down and says each word distinctly: "Your big brother will take good care of you."

Ruan Luo: "..."

The biggest mistake Yue Zeying ever made was carelessly letting the canary he cherished slip away.

The day she circles back and flies into his hand,

he thinks that he really should have clipped her wings.
