*Healing | Bittersweet | Second chance romance
*From youth to the city
Before meeting Chen Tan, Lin Nai's seventeenth year came down to three things: studying, fixing phones, and moving over and over again.
One was a well-behaved honor student, the other a notorious troublemaker. No one would ever have thought to connect the two.
Until the day Lin Nai had nowhere left to go.
On a cold winter night in a small town, the streets were desolate, and no one passed by.
She sat on the curb with her knees drawn up. After an unknown stretch of time, she heard footsteps approaching.
Chen Tan walked up to her, helmet in hand, the evening breeze stirring his bangs. Beneath the stars, the young man's features were sharp, and his eyes shone like stars.
Frowning, he tossed the helmet into her arms.
"Put it on already. Let's go."

Throughout their youth, the two shared a room for a long time.
Even when they didn't talk much, they were always bickering.
Yet he was the only bridge beneath her feet. Even when there was no road ahead, he'd carry her onward, making sure she got through safely.
In their third year, during a meteor shower in Jiangjing, Lin Nai pulled Chen Tan to the bridge to make a wish.
She clasped her hands together:
"First, may Chen Tan always be safe."
"Second, may we never leave the world to bad people."
It wasn't until their tenth year that they finally got together.
At the same bridge, beneath the same stars, Chen Tan wrapped his arms around her from behind. Only then did Lin Nai learn that he'd secretly made a third wish for her that night.
But he'd made it directly to her:
"Third, may the world never be left to bad people. The best world is yours."
-
"If there's no path beneath your feet, I'll be your bridge."
