It's very useful: it restores her human sense of taste, so she can enjoy every bite of food. All she does every day is sleep and eat, and when she's about to starve, she gulps down a couple of mouthfuls of her troublesome younger brother's blood. Once Chisai realizes Muzan won't let her die, she throws caution to the wind. Whenever danger appears, she drags her brother down with her. If he scolds her after she's pushed him too far, she cries, makes a scene, and threatens to hang herself, keeping Muzan teetering on the edge of fury. But as his older sister, she also comes to his aid at crucial moments. When Muzan splits into more than 1,800 pieces to escape, she fears he'll die, so she carries two pieces away in her mouth. After finding him, she spits them out and gives them back. The Demon King, mostly regenerated already, stares at the pieces of flesh covered in saliva and bite marks, deep in thought. Faced with an older sister who's useless at everything except eating, and who still hasn't learned to eat humans after more than a thousand years, choosing to drink only her own blood, the head of the demon clan regrets his decision so much his guts twist.
