I Just Want to Farm in Peace

Bao Yue thought life in Daohua Village was pretty good. It was a rural farming village, and her family was dirt poor, but her parents were loving, and her younger siblings were sweet and sensible. The family got along well enough. There were a few "troublemakers" in the village, but her family had a formidable grandmother, third uncle, and eldest male cousin to stand up to them. Later, she married a humble carpenter. He was strong, earned a good living, and doted on his wife. With no awful in-laws to bother her and no spiteful sisters-in-law to deal with, life just kept getting better. They renovated the house, planted a vegetable garden, raised chickens and ducks, chopped firewood, and cooked. Every day, besides eating and drinking, they were busy making a fortune... Kvass, stinky tofu, cured fish, Chinese sausages, and braised dried tofu came one after another. Business thrived, the neighbors got along, and their little life grew more and more prosperous. This is mainly a story about farming, food, and everyday family life. The plot is fairly mellow. If you enjoy slice-of-life farming stories, come take a look! Important figures like princes and generals mostly exist in the storytellers' tales and have no connection to the protagonists. Theme: Make the most of ordinary days, and life can be rich and fulfilling.
