[Blurb]
Yan Tingxi used to be a sword cultivator, but after getting hit by a God of Cookery System, he transmigrated to the modern world, where spiritual energy was scarce.
System: You have to cook.
Yan Tingxi: I'm a sword cultivator. I won't.
System: Prepare to be struck by lightning.
Yan Tingxi: ...Fine, hand over the recipes.
Though he was forced into cooking, everything went surprisingly well, aside from occasionally grabbing a soup ladle instead of his sword while practicing
His family was on the verge of bankruptcy? The mountain resort's reviews soared, and reservations were booked two months in advance.
The resort was short-staffed? Ancient spirits and monsters poured in, "volunteering" to work there.
His knife skills were mediocre, and he kept chopping up the cutting board? He could casually slice a watermelon into pieces you couldn't afford to eat.
In the end, with his senior brother's help, he even shook the System down for a huge payout, leaving it sobbing.
Yan Tingxi: You dared to strike me with lightning?
He holds a grudge!
The resort went from nearly bankrupt to thriving, but Yan's mother started to worry.
She discovered that her son kept testing the limits of the law.
Charge 1: Enslaving the elderly.
The enslaved Lord of the Mountains and Rivers: I can absorb spiritual energy while farming. I'm willing!
Charge 2: Withholding wages.
The unpaid Dragon King of the East Sea: I get to eat delicious food if I do the dishes. I don't want wages!
Charge 3: Illegally keeping a protected animal.
The protected animal, his senior brother Li Qin, a black panther: I... I haven't been kept as a pet! I married into the family of my own free will!
Yan's mother: "?????"
Unflappable uke × unpredictable seme
[Reader's Guide]:
1. Keeping protected animals without permission is wrong! The so-called protected animals in this story are monsters who choose to stay at the resort.
2. Enslaving the elderly and withholding wages are unethical and wrong! The elderly and unpaid workers in this story are monsters, so human standards don't apply to them.
3. The uke's original body had an ex-boyfriend, but they only ever held hands.
4. His senior brother didn't marry into the family. He just likes to talk nonsense.
