Slaughterhouse

The story takes place in the distant future, long, long from now. The coming of the Last Judgment brought a catastrophe that devastated everything in the world. Humanity survived the disaster, but fewer than 300,000 people remained. On the ruins, people began rebuilding their home: the forerunner of the Steel Metal Church. At the end of the century, faith endured, and the church, led by the Steel Metal Pope, ruled this fallen age.

But the vampires who had perished during the Last Judgment were revived when a sealed stone coffin was opened, restoring their bloodline after it had been cut off. Their descendants called the person inside the coffin the “First One.”

Humanity and the vampires fought constantly for survival, until the vampires gained the upper hand.

To prevent both races from meeting their end, humans and vampires jointly established the “Thirteen Articles,” laws intended to maintain ecological balance. Blade was created by humans to defend the laws.

Lucia, a hybrid whose blood is poison to vampires; Osmond, who became the strongest and dreams of destroying everything and ruling over a world reduced to ashes; and Servan, who betrayed the Church yet never stops protecting humanity. The story unfolds around the three of them in turn.
