Batman has noticed another oddball has shown up in Gotham lately.
She looks like a perfectly normal young woman, but she's always the first to show up at crime scenes. Compared to the Gotham Police Department next door, whose response time is a mystery, she makes you want to cry just hearing about it. Her only reason is "to compete with Batman for the title of World's Greatest Detective."
After ruling out all the other possible explanations, Batman realizes she really means it.
But she deduces how victims died not through autopsies, but by using the dead man's conversation spell on corpses;
she identifies killers not through DNA analysis or crime modeling, but through divination;
she gathers clues not by investigating and interviewing people, but through mediumship.
Batman: What kind of detective competition are you trying to enter???

Reading Guide:
1. A lighthearted, plot-driven story, a nontraditional detective thriller with a touch of the supernatural and Lovecraftian elements. The blurb may sound like it's all mystical stuff, but there are no big superpower battles. It's closer in style to Detective Comics and American and British mystery shows.
2. Mainly DC, with a personal take on the universe that mixes the original setting and timeline with some original details. I made up all the plotlines, so you don't need to have read the original to enjoy it.
3. Plenty of romance, no angst. Seven parts sweet, with ice and milk foam.
4. I swear on my life that I won't abandon this story.
